  Traditional Peigan burial grounds were being threatened with flooding by the construction of the Three Rivers (Oldman) Dam. The Lonefighters, a traditional Peigan warrior society, led by Milton Born-with-a-tooth, diverted the river around the dam. The Lonefighters embody the spirit of Aboriginal warriors defending their land.
